Brownsville's new Dave's Hot Chicken: Opening in 2026

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Chicken and spice and everything nice!

Brownsville is getting its first Dave's Hot Chicken location.

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the new franchise's location will be at 1165 FM 802 Rd.

Brownsville residents can enjoy the restaurant's famous crispy chicken tenders, with six different heat levels which include lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot and Reaper. Other menu items include crispy fries and chicken sliders.

Construction for the 2,866 square foot building is estimated to begin on Dec. 1, 2025, with a completion date of May 1, 2026.

The renovation project has an estimated cost of $350,000, which is privately funded.

This will be the third Dave's Hot Chicken location in the Rio Grande Valley. The other Valley locations are in Edinburg and McAllen.
