Man arrested for having sex with horse, again: docs

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man has been arrested a fourth time for allegedly having sex with a horse.

Cirilo Castillo was arrested on charges of bestiality and criminal trespass, Hidalgo County Jail records show.

A probable cause affidavit stated that a Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputy responded to a residence on E. Alberta Road in Edinburg, where he met with a woman.

The woman told authorities that at 6:15 a.m., she went out to feed her horses when she saw Castillo in the stable.

"She saw Cirilo standing on a chair having sex with her white mare," the affidavit stated.

According to the document, Castillo has been on the property before and been advised that he is not wanted there.

"[The woman] has had previous encounters with Cirilo trespassing on her property to have sex with her horse," the document stated.

Castillo was booked into the Hidalgo County Jail on June 18 and his bond was set at $70,000.

Background

In 2013, Castillo pleaded guilty after having sex with a horse named "India" on video. At the time, former Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino said Castillo would continue.

“He is going to continue to do this,” Trevino said. “The people there in the neighborhood are just sick and tired of it, we just need to do something with this.”

In 2015, Castillo was arrested after attempting to have sex with a horse again. During this incident, he was kicked by the horse and crawled to a barn for shelter. He told authorities that he had been allegedly hit by a car.

Most recently, in 2022, Castillo was arrested after a homeowner realized that someone was leaving wooden benches and chairs in their horse stalls. They installed surveillance cameras, and noticed someone laying on the floor of the stalls. When they went to the stall, they saw Castillo towards the back of the horse fumbling with his pants, authorities said.
