Los Tigres del Norte thrill fans at Bert Ogden Arena

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Los Tigres Del Norte, one of the most recognized bands in Mexican regional music, brought generations together at the Bert Ogden Arena for its La Loteria Tour.

The band performed at the arena Saturday night in front of thousands of fans.

The concert included performances by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Ballet Folkorico. The dancers appeared on stage in different variations of traditional Mexican attire from throughout Mexico.

Los Tigres Del Norte have been in the music industry for over 50 years and have continued strong by releasing over 50 albums and selling more than 32 million records.

No doubt, the band has remained in the industry and continued touring and releasing albums, gathering the attention of the younger generation.

Los Tigres Del Norte are most recognized for their storytelling through music, with inspirations to real-world issues. Songs such as "Somos Mas Americanos," "Jefe De Jefes," and "Ni Parientes Somos," among others, are known for their lyrics and polka beat.

The Loteria Tour is scheduled to continue until Nov. 30 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
