Local V-Day tent vendor shares prep process

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Valentine's Day is here but some local florists and pop up tent vendors shared with us just how long it takes to prep for one of the most expensive days of the year.

Brandon Rivera, owner of a tent shop said he started the preparations for Valentine's Day a month in advance.

Paper, ribbons, cards and anything that will get people's attention is stocked by Rivera early.

A week ahead of Valentine's Day, he starts bringing in natural products like flowers.

Rivera said his top seller is natural flowers because it is what makes women happy in his experience.

For those who prefer a gift that will last forever, he recommends some of his stuffed animals.

He said every box takes about 25 minutes to prepare from start to finish.

This is his second year with the business located in Harlingen and he said this is the spot to be.

Rivera said it brings him joy to be able to make others happy.
