LIST: Early voting locations across the Valley

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Early voting for the November 5 General and Local Entities elections is underway.

ValleyCentral has gathered a list of polling locations in Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy Counties for your convenience.

However, before you head to the polls, be sure you have your voter ID and one of the following materials to vote:

• Texas driver's license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
• Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
• Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
• Texas Handgun License issued by DPS
• United States Military Identification Card containing the person’s photograph
• United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person’s photograph
• United States Passport (book or card)

If a voter cannot obtain any of these forms of ID, the voter may vote by either signing a declaration of impediment at the polls explaining why they are reasonably unable to obtain one of the seven forms of approved photo ID or provide one of the various forms of supporting documentation:

• A certified domestic (from a U.S. state or territory) birth certificate or a document confirming birth admissible in a court of law that establishes the voter’s identity (which may include a foreign birth document);
• A current utility bill
• A bank statement
• A government check
• A paycheck   
• A government document that shows the voter’s name and an address (which includes the voter’s voter registration certificate).

Early voting will run through Nov. 1. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
