Laguna Madre Water District to shut off water May 29

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Laguna Madre Water District announced a water shut-off on South Padre Island to replace a four-inch water valve.

According to LMWD, water will be shut down in the areas of Padre Boulevard and Gulf Boulevard from E. Corral Street to 904 Padre Blvd.

The work will be performed on May 29 from midnight to 5 a.m., according to LMWD.

LMWD recommends its customers store water in containers and/or buckets for sanitary use and cooking.

If medical issues arise, take this time to make the necessary arrangements, urged LMWD. Businesses with water pumps or chillers, need to take precautions to protect their equipment,
