BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An investigation is underway after man was shot on each of his legs, authorities announced.
At 2:08 a.m. Friday, dispatched received a call from Brownsville police in reference to a 26-year-old man who was admitted to Valley Baptist Medical Center with gunshot wounds, Cameron County Sheriff Eric Garza told ValleyCentral.
The victim was shot on each of his legs, above his ankles.
An investigation revealed that he was shot at the intersection of Minnesota and Bernal Drive. Brownsville police were called to the scene, where five spent casings were found, Garza said.
The case remains under investigation.
