Home declared total loss following San Juan fire

SAN JUAN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A house was declared a total loss following an early morning house fire in San Juan.

At 10:25 a.m., San Juan firefighters responded to a structure fire near the intersection of Carroll Road and Stella Drive.

Tirso Garza, San Juan Fire Chief told ValleyCentral, that when they arrived at the scene most of the fire was on the southwest corner of the residence.

Firefighters attempted to contain the fire. However, the fire made its way through the attic making it difficult to control the fire, Garza said.

The Alamo Fire Department assisted San Juan FD in the structure fire.

No injuries were reported.
