SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — San Benito is bringing back the Hog Waddle Concert and Cookoff event next month.
Hog Waddle is a four-day event of live performances of various genres and festivities.
Fred Sandoval, City Manager of San Benito, says the Hog Waddle is the largest musical event in the upper Rio Grande Valley.
"Hog Waddle kind of culminates what San Benito is about which is musical heritage, conjunto and mostly musical talent that's come out of San Benito," Sandoval said.
The lineup for Hog Waddle 2025 includes Cardenales de Nuevo Leon, Milla 22 and Viejones De Linares.
"What we're trying to do is make San Benito the music capital of South Texas," Sandoval continued.
Guests can also expect over 100 vendors, a cookoff, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and a carnival.
Hog Waddle 2025 will begin Thursday, Feb. 20 through Sunday, Feb. 23. Tickets for the event are now available on San Benito city social media pages.
