Hidalgo County offices closed due to extreme cold weather

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez announced they will close all Hidalgo County offices due to extreme weather conditions.

All offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, except for emergency operations.

“Safety is our top priority, not only for Hidalgo County residents but for Hidalgo County employees,” said Judge Cortez.

According to the National Weather Services, an Extreme Cold Warning will go into effect from 3 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
