RioPlex is a bold initiative that brings together neighbors from both sides of our Rio Grande?Rio Bravo River in South Texas and Tamaulipas, from two sovereign nations, the United States and Mexico, but sprinkled with representation for many other foreign investors.
Not only do bridges, economic ties and cultural links bond us together, but we have many networks of business, professional, and community leaders who unite our communities and our relationships. As Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez recently remarked at the Foreign Direct Investment Summit in Houston, “The region is anchored by many world class assets.”
The 49 Rotary Clubs in District 5930 (South Texas) and the 72 Rotary Clubs in District 4130 (Northeastern Mexico) are part of an international network of 1.2 million Rotarians around the world who foster the ideal of service by volunteering their time and talent and building partnerships with others to address local needs with local solutions. These 121 Rotary Clubs are also assets to be celebrated in RioPlex.
As businesses bring new investments to our region, they can be assured that their corporate leaders will find fellowship and connections with other like-minded professionals within the network of Rotary Clubs as they settle into our communities. Welcome to RioPlex. Welcome to Rotary.
