HCSO: Parts of Donna under evacuation due to gas leak

DONNA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Multiple agencies are responding to a gas leak that is affecting the rural Donna area.

Deputies with the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office are assisting the Donna Fire Department to address the gas leak that was caused by a traffic accident.

Roosevelt Road and FM 493 are currently closed due to the gas leak, according to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is further assisting as well as gas services.

Businesses and residents have been asked to evacuate until the gas leak has been fixed.
