HCSO: Man found with gunshot wounds in rural Edinburg

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Hidalgo County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Deputies responded at 8:32 p.m. to a report of shots fired in the 8200 block of E. Curry Road in rural Edinburg, per the sheriff's office news release.

When they arrived, deputies discovered a 67-year-old Hispanic man lying face down in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel. 

Sheriff's investigators continue to investigate this case.
