HCSO: 4 adults, minor arrested following drug seizure

EDCOUCH, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Four adults and a minor were taken into custody following a search warrant that resulted in the discovery of narcotics.

On Friday, the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a residence, located in the 700 block of Southern Avenue.

Investigators discovered a "sizeable quantity of narcotics" along with $9,000 in cash, which they believe comes from illegal drug activity, a news release from HCSO stated.

The four adults were booked into the Hidalgo County Adult Detention Center and the minor was taken to the Hidalgo County Juvenile Detention Center.

Authorities have not released the identity of the four adults and the minor.
