Harris County man wanted for capital murder arrested in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Cameron County deputies arrested a man Monday at the Gateway International bridge wanted for capital murder.

According to the Cameron County Sheriff's Office, deputies made contact with Customs and Border Protection officers who identified the man as Terry Rivera, 27.

CBP officers informed deputies of property belonging to Rivera was recovered at the time of his arrest. Deputies seized the property and secured it as evidence.

Rivera was taken into custody by Cameron County Sheriff’s deputies and transported to Carrizales Rucker Detention Center.

Harris County was notified of Rivera’s arrest at the bridge and detention at the Carrizales Rucker Detention Center.
