Harlingen to Edinburg connector to be closed nightly this week

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Nightly closures are in place for the Harlingen to Edinburg direct connector this week.

The connector merges west I-2 traffic onto the I-69C northbound main lanes. It will continue to be closed nightly this week, March 12 through the 17, as project crews paint the bridge.

The closure will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday, and 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday.

Detour signs will be in place o direct drivers through alternative routes.

During the day, closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 12 through the 23. This consists of a right lane closure on the I-2 westbound frontage road between Nebraska Avenue and Veterans Boulevard.
