Harlingen Parks & Rec hosts St. Patrick's Day Beer Run event

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen Parks and Recreation Department presents the St. Patrick's Day Beer Run set for March 14.

The race starts at 6:30 p.m. with festivities from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The run begins at the Harlingen Auditorium and includes a 5K course.

Registration is open, with 135 runners currently signed up, but expecting 200 participants.

Each runner receives a swag bag, t-shirt, finisher medal, and a 16-ounce glass beer can. The event features divisions for awards, green beer sponsored by L&F Distributors, and various activities like live DJs, food vendors, and games.

Must be age 21 or older to register for the beer run. Must also show ID at packet pickup.
