HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Transportation announced it will be conducting road closures in Harlingen to investigate the scene of a fatal crash.
According to a news release from TxDOT, as per the request of the Harlingen Police Department, TxDOT will close the northbound I-69E travel lanes from Lincoln Street to Primera Road.
The closure will begin at 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The closure will allow Harlingen PD to investigate a fatal crash that took place on Friday, Feb. 21.
Motorists who are traveling on northbound I-69E will be required to take the FM 2994 exit and may renter the interstate using the ramp, located south of Primera Road.
TxDOT advises drivers to seek alternative routes to avoid traffic delays.
