Harlingen CISD schools earn U.S. News Best School recognitions

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Harlingen CISD announced that six elementary schools and two middle schools have been named among the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Elementary and Middle Schools in Texas.

The district's news release said the campuses ranked in the top 40% of public schools statewide, based on state proficiency tests and overall school performance.

Best Elementary Schools:

• Bonham Elementary
• Bowie Elementary
• Rodriguez Elementary
• Lee Means Elementary
• Stuart Place Elementary
• Zavala Elementary

Best Middle Schools:

• Memorial Middle School
• Harlingen School of Health Professions
