HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen CISD along with La Feria ISD is hosting its first Autism Conference on Saturday.
The event is funded by a grant from the Texas Education Agency in Region 13, the event aims to raise awareness about autism, communication, social skills, and behavior.
The conference is free and open to the public, offering childcare and a simple registration process via a QR code.
Future sessions are planned for the fall and spring, with a focus on interactive learning.
The initiative is part of the district's broader effort to support autism education and community outreach.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Harlingen Collegiate High School located at 2901 Medical Dr.
