HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Harlingen Police Chief Michael Kester will be retiring from duty.
Kester plans to retire next month after more than 30 years with the Harlingen Police Department, according to Harlingen City Manager Gabe Gonzalez.
He started as a deputy chief in 1990 before moving up to his role as chief in 2019.
His last day will be February 4.
