If you’re shopping around Palm Village, there’s a new dining option available.
Origo Works Real Estate announced March 12 that Gorditas Dona Maria is opening its first location in Brownsville at 1400 Palm Blvd.
“We are excited to welcome Gorditas Dona Maria to Palm Village,” leasing agent Matthew Lopez said in the release. “We work with our clients, national and regional brands, to give them the best expansion opportunities and strengthen economic growth within the region.”
The restaurant joins other dining options like Italian restaurant La Scala and barbeque joint Chicken Run BBQ. The neighborhood center also has another restaurant named Vita Zumo and a Subway, but Google noted both eateries are temporarily closed.
Origo Works noted other tenants at Palm Village include Dollar General, F.I.T. Lab Fitness and Pinkberry.
“Palm Village is a historic redevelopment that has become a cornerstone of the Brownsville community, providing a diverse array of tenants that drive foot traffic and foster a vibrant shopping and dining experience,” the release stated. “Conveniently situated near Downtown Brownsville’s Historic District, the shopping center enjoys excellent visibility, easy accessibility, and close proximity to the city’s bike and pedestrian trails.”
