Former Sullivan City manager charged with theft

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Sullivan City Police Department arrested former City Manager Ana Mercado on Friday after an investigation revealed she had stolen about $5,000 from the city.  Mercado pocketed about $5,000 in 2022, when the city held a festival, according to a criminal complaint against her.
