Former Hidalgo County GOP chair Adrienne Peña Garza has been appointed as the associate director for Presidential Personnel at The White House.
The Peña Garza Consulting firm announced she is stepping down from her position there to accept the appointment to President Donald Trump’s Executive Office.
“Adrienne has been a driving force at Peña Garza Consulting, leveraging her expertise to deliver exceptional support to candidates, businesses, and organizations across Texas and beyond,” a news release stated. “Her departure marks the end of a significant chapter for the firm, but we celebrate her well-deserved opportunity to serve at the highest levels of government.”
A. Jimmy Garza, principal at Peña Garza Consulting, said her leadership and vision were invaluable to their team and clients.
“While we’ll miss her presence here, we’re incredibly proud of her as she takes on this vital role in public service,” he said in the release.
The Hidalgo County GOP celebrated her appointment in a Facebook post.
“Adrienne has been instrumental in growing the Republican movement in South Texas, serving as County Chair from 2018-2024 and most recently as Finance Chair,” the post stated. “Her leadership helped drive historic conservative gains in the RGV, and while we will miss her locally, we know she will make an even greater impact on the national stage.”
The Office of Presidential Personnel was established in 1971 and aids the president “in recruiting, vetting, and nominating over 4,000 political appointees throughout the federal government,” White House records state.
