$5K bond set for woman charged in Pharr fatal motorcycle crash

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A woman involved in a fatal motorcycle-vehicle crash in Pharr was arraigned Thursday.

The fatal accident happened the morning of March 6 at the intersection of N. 281 Frontage Road and Nolana Loop.

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

An arrest warrant was issued following the crash for 27-year-old Karla De Leon, who later turned herself in to police.

De Leon was arraigned at the Pharr Municipal Court and charged with criminal negligence homicide.

Her bond was set at $5,000.
