Food deals, discounts for Teacher Appreciation Week

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — National Teacher Appreciation Week is here to honor educators and staff who have made a positive impact on today's students.

Starting May 6 through May 10, educators can catch freebies and discounts in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week.

As a big thanks to all educators, here are some deals that will be offered by restaurants and retail stores.

Whataburger

Whataburger is saying thanks to educators with a free breakfast entree from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., May 6 through May 10.

The popular Texas chain will offer a free taquito, breakfast on a bun or a honey butter chicken biscuit when educators show their school ID or badge at dine-in or drive-thru.

Logan's Roadhouse

Educators are invited to stop by and enjoy any entree for 20% off.

All Logan's Roadhouse locations will be offering this deal between May 6 and May 10.

A valid school ID or badge is required to receive discount.

Firehouse Subs

Firehouse Subs is holding its Appreciation Week honoring all deli sub and sandwich fans, educators included.

Starting May 6 through May 12, Firehouse Subs will be putting out new daily deals to catch.

The deals will be available on the Firehouse Subs app only.

Raising Cane's

Educators are in luck this year for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Raising Cane's is giving 10 teachers an opportunity to win an all-expenses summer vacation that includes two roundtrip tickets to any spot in the contiguous U.S. (Hawaii and Alaska not included.)

Peter Piper Pizza

Peter Piper Pizza is giving a slice of appreciation by offering different deals.

Select locations will be offering a free personal pizza in-store or up to 20% off an entire order with a valid school ID or badge.

Deals must be redeemed between May 6 and May 10.

Teachers and school staff who show a valid ID can save 20% at Buffalo Wild Wings for dine-in, carryout or when ordering over the phone.

The deal will be available until May 12.

Insomnia Cookies

Insomnia Cookies is treating teachers and school staff with a free classic cookie with a valid school ID.

The late night cookie shop will offer classic cookies only starting May 6 until 3 a.m. on May 13.

Scholastic

The book publisher is offering up to $50 off on books and teaching resources sitewide until May 10.

Crocs

Teachers can get 20% off full-priced Crocs styles year-round when purchasing online.

Employment ID is required and can be verified on the Crocs website.

Adidas

Adidas is thanking teachers year-round with 30% off from their online teacher's shoes collection.

The discount will be available when verifying a school ID or badge online.

Academy Sports + Outdoors

Educators can take 10% off their entire purchase online or in-store. Before online checkout, teachers or staff will need to verify their school ID and status on the shopping cart page.

To redeem the deal in-store, a school ID or badge is required.

The last day to get 10% off all items is May 11.

Reebok

Reebok is thanking teachers year-round by offering up to 50% off items when checking out and verifying online.

Michael's

Michael's is giving a 15% discount year-round for educators who need to save on classroom items.

The discount will be made for all items, including sale items.
