Fire Dept. battling brush fire in Pharr

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Pharr Fire Department is working to extinguish a brush fire.

The wild brush fire has spread across multiple acres.

Authorities say the fire is currently under control as Pharr fire and other surrounding agencies are on the scene.

The call about the fire came in at about 6:30 p.m. Authorities say the fire is about 90% contained. No injuries have been reported.

Other agencies assisting in the fire include San Juan, Hidalgo, McAllen and Pharr EMS.
