"The City of McAllen does not have a City Compensation Fee, the City of McAllen Planning & Zoning Department does not operate on Sunday evenings and invoices are not sent by email," the city announced in a press release.
According to the release, the scam email appears to show an @usa.com inbox.
The City of McAllen only uses the @mcallen.net inbox.
