Federal agents arrest Tren de Aragua gang member in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Tren De Aragua member was arrested in Brownsville, RGV Sector Border Patrol Chief Gloria Chavez announced.

The unnamed suspect is wanted for murder in South America.

Chavez says the suspect will be charged for illegal re-entry.

"Our RGV Border Patrol agents and law enforcement partners are committed to keeping our border and our communities safe and delivering consequences to criminal aliens," Chavez said.

Multiple agencies were involved in the suspect's arrest including ICE, HSI, FBI and U.S. Border Patrol Task Force.
