Engineer shortage leads recruiters to the classroom

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Harlingen engineering firm is being proactive in recruiting due to a nationwide shortage of engineers.

They're being bold by starting with elementary-age children to get them excited about the work they do.

Students at Jefferson Elementary were given the opportunity to learn about STEM activities and jobs alongside engineers from the local Garver firm.
