Electrical wires fall following crash in Brownsville, drivers to seek alternate routes

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Electrical wires have fallen on the roadway following a single-vehicle crash in Brownsville, authorities announced.

Brownsville police responded to a major single vehicle crash on the 400 block of Minnesota Road Tuesday afternoon.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Brownsville police announced that the area will be temporarily closed until utility crews arrive to clear the scene from the electrical wires.

Motorists are advised to take alternative routes.

This is an ongoing investigation.

ValleyCentral reached out to the Brownsville Public Utilities Board for comment on any power outages in response to the incident. However, BPUB stated it is not aware of any outages at the moment.
