Edinburg to make improvements on three park locations

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Edinburg is in the process of making improvements to three park locations.

Edinburg residents can expect to see upgrades at Frontier Park, Bicentennial Park and Memorial Park.

The project includes adding new restrooms at Frontier Park and Bicentennial Park, as well as a
concession stand.

Memorial Park will receive a new roof and interior remodeling of its existing restroom and concession stand.

Valley native strives for spot at Paris 2024 Olympics

All three parks will remain open throughout the construction period for residents to visit during summer.

City staff will begin construction on all three parks with a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m., Monday, June 24. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held at Frontier Park located on 900 N. First Ave.

The $1 million project is estimated to be complete by January 2025.
