Edinburg road closures due to downed powerline

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Edinburg is advising residents of road closures due to a live wire falling on an 18-wheeler.

Officials say the accident happened at the intersection of Telfair Street and Closner Boulevard around 8:40 p.m.

The entrance to Telfair Street will remain closed until repairs are completed by the utility company, according to a Facebook post from the city.

Police say no injuries were reported.
