Edinburg resident turns 100, celebrated with city proclamation

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Today DHR Health honored a resident who turned 100 years old. Consuelo Salinas was born March 1, 1924.

Consuelo and her husband were married for 63 years before he passed away a few years ago. They raised 10 children in their lovely home together.

The also have 63 grandchildren.

In attendance to Doña Salinas' celebration was the city mayor, her medical team and her family.

The city of Edinburg inscribed a proclamation for Consuelo to honor her legacy in the community.
