EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Edinburg celebrated the grand opening of its newest Arts, Culture and Event Center, also known as the ACE Center.
Edinburg opened the new building to the public Wednesday morning, marking a milestone in the city's commitment to the arts and culture of the Rio Grande Valley.
"This was more than 10 years in the making," said Edinburg Mayor Ramiro Garza.
Garza anticpates the building will be used for various community events that will allow residents to inspire creation and collaboration.
"This is a place that is going to help bring our community together for arts, culture and events," Garza continued. "We're so excited for our community who will enjoy it [the new building] for years to come."
The new ACE Center is located on 315 W. McIntyre St.
It is equipped with dance and art studios, a digital design lab and gallery spaces for events and workshops.
