EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two suspects who were linked to multiple auto thefts in the Edinburg area were arraigned today.
Edgar Olguin, 21, and Jonathan Moreno, 19, faced a judge at the Edinburg Municipal Court for the thefts and burglaries.
Olguin and Moreno were charged with the following:
- 10 charges of burglary of a vehicle ($10,000 each)
- 5 charges of state jail auto theft ($25,000 each)
- 2 charges of a third-degree felony auto theft ($35,000 each)
- 1 charge of marijuana possession ($5,000)
- 1 charge of firearm theft ($25,000)
Investigators were able to locate the two suspects after a pair of AirPods left inside the vehicle were traced to a residence on the 7500 block of Flamingo St. in Edinburg.
The total bond for all 19 charges is $325,000.
