Drivers asked to avoid Bridge Avenue in Weslaco due to crash

WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Weslaco Police Department is working to clear the scene of a car accident that took place today.

Police say the crash happened at the 600 block of S Bridge Avenue.

Traffic delays are expected on Bridge Avenue between 6th St. and 8th St. due to a road closure.

Drivers are being asked to find alternate routes.

"We would like to remind drivers to exercise awareness and caution as we will continue to see rain throughout the day," Weslaco PD stated.
