DPS: One person dead in single-vehicle crash

WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Public Safety is on the scene of a single-vehicle crash that left one person dead.

According to Sgt. Maria Hernandez with Texas DPS, the accident occurred near Mile 7 N. West of Milanos in Weslaco.

Sgt. Hernandez stated that the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the identity of the driver.
