DHR Health Brownsville to provide free medical screenings

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — DHR Health Brownsville is hosting an event for the public to receive medical screenings and see the Da Vinci 5 Surgical Robot.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19 and Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the DHR Health Brownsville located at 4750 N. Expressway.

The following free medical screenings will take place at the event:

• Hernia screenings will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Pelvic pain screenings (Ovarian cyst, uterine fibroids, endometriosis) will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

There will also be a preview and test drive of the da Vinci 5 Robotic Surgical System. Additionally, surgical robotic experts Dr. Karen Brooks and Dr. Rene Luna will be in attendance.
