DHR Brownsville, Brownsville PD host toy giveaway

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — DHR Health Brownsville and the Brownsville Police Department hosted its second toy giveaway on Thursday.

Over 1,000 vouchers for toys were given to children in Brownsville and Cameron County.

"Being able to do this for the children of Brownsville, being able to provide a toy for each child in Brownsville that did have a voucher means a lot to us," said Aida Coronado, DHR Chief Operating Officer.

The goal was to help alleviate the financial difficulty faced by families and help the children feel included and celebrated during the holiday season.
