HARLINGEN, TEXAS – Delta Air Lines has launched its daily, year-round, non-stop flights connecting Valley International Airport (HRL) and Austin, Texas (AUS).

The service launched October 7, 2024.

Marv Esterly, director of Aviation at Valley International Airport, said the new service will provide convenient travel options for both business and leisure travelers in the Rio Grande Valley.

“Delta’s new service is a testament to the growing demand for air travel in our region, and we are proud to partner with them to provide more travel options for our community,” Esterly said.

The Delta flight from AUS will depart at 11:10 a.m., arriving in HRL at 12:29 p.m. The return flight from HRL is scheduled to depart at 1:44 p.m., arriving in AUS at 3:00 p.m. Both flights will be operated using Delta’s E175 regional jet, offering dual-class service.

“We are excited to see Delta will have many connecting options beyond Austin including Atlanta, Georgia, Boston and New York City. Valley International Airport would like to thank Delta Air Lines for believing in all of our citizens and our airport, the largest, most convenient airport in the RGV,” said Nicolás J. Mirman, commercial director at Valley International Airport.
