SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Classroom Cribs is returning to ValleyCentral to highlight schools making a positive difference to their students.

ValleyCentral is highlighting five school districts for this edition and we're asking our viewers to vote for their favorite classroom.

Our team visited San Benito and stepped inside two spaces where the school community could get creative and unwind.

ValleyCentral toured two San Benito classrooms that are helping early childhood students, middle schoolers and staff members.

The first classroom stop was at Little Aa's Play School in San Benito.

San Benito CISD partners with the daycare to promote academic growth and to build a successful early childhood for students.

During the visit, students learned about color combinations through primary and secondary colors.

One student was proud to show the art board inside the classroom.

The next stop in the Classroom Cribs tour is Miller Jordan Middle School.

School leaders have created a space where students and staff can decompress, refocus and energize for the day.

"It makes me feel comfortable. It takes the nervousness out of me from when I'm around other people," a student told ValleyCentral.

"We find that it helps build their morale to reduce some stress," one of the teachers said. "It is tough right now with STARR tests and all that coming up. So they enjoy feeling like they have a moment to take for themselves."
