RAYMONDVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Classroom Cribs is returning to ValleyCentral to highlight schools making a positive difference to their students.
ValleyCentral is highlighting five school districts for this edition and we're asking our viewers to vote for their favorite classroom.
Our team visited Raymondville Early College High School where students are earning associates degrees and industry certifications before graduation.
One program that Raymondville ISD is proud to feature is the Health Careers Academy.
Students in the program are getting hands-on experience with future ready equipment.
"These students are preparing to run the healthcare industry, next level stuff," Raymondville ISD Deputy Superintendent Ben Clinton said.
Raymondville is also showing off its Information Technology classroom where students can earn an industry certification.
The classroom is equipped with state-of-the-art Alienware computers, 36-inch curved monitors and 10G internet connection.
"Work hard, play hard," Clinton continued.
Clinton makes a quick stop to the band hall and praises the Bearkat Band for their winning streak in UIL Class 3A competition.
The final stop of the tour was the brand new Raymondville ISD school buses where students can arrive to class in comfort and style.
The new buses have Wi-Fi, lane departure warnings and AI technology to keep drivers in check.
"Keep winning, keep thriving," Clinton said.
