City of Rio Hondo announce water conservation plan

RIO HONDO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Rio Hondo announced they will have a water conservation plan effective immediately.

City officials say they have planned Stage 3 of the Water Conservation Plan due to low reservoir levels.

Residents are advised that yard water use is strictly prohibited. According to a release from the city, car washing with buckets only, repairing household leaks and limiting the use of water slides are allowed.

The water conservation will remain in effect until further notice.
