HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Harlingen is selling dirt due to an excess amount left over from a drainage project.
The city is selling the dirt for $1 per cubic yard, while supplies lasts.
Residents, builders and contractors who are interested in buying dirt can visit from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday through Friday at the Finance Department at City Hall, located at 118 E. Tyler Avenue.
Those who want to purchase the dirt must obtain an official receipt to show the on-site staff at the construction zone.
Buyers are responsible for loading the dirt themselves.
