HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Chick-fil-A is bringing back two popular seasonal items and announcing one new item will make its debut at the end of the month.
Starting August 26, the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich will return to participating Chick-Fil-A locations nationwide for a limited time by popular request.
The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich made its debut in 2023 as the brand’s first-ever twist on the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich.
“When we released the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich last fall, not only did we receive overwhelmingly positive feedback, but we also saw our guests making their own unique twists by swapping the original filet for the spicy filet," said Chick-fil-A Chef, Stuart Tracy.
The positive feedback and twists inclined Chick-Fil-A to soon offer its own spicy version of the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich.
"They [guests] inspired us to officially offer a spicy version as its own menu item, and we are thrilled to deliver what we know our guests want more of," Tracy continued.
Both original and spicy versions of the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich will feature the filet of choice drizzled with honey, topped with pimento cheese and served on a toasted bun with mild pickled jalapenos.
The Banana Pudding Milkshake will also be making its return to menus after a 13-year hiatus.
According to Chick-Fil-A, guests have been requesting the seasonal item treat since its intial debut in 2011.
The Banana Pudding Milkshake features the Chick-fil-A ice cream dessert mixed with real bananas and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles, topped with whipped cream and a cherry.
One menu item that will be soon make its debut is the Banana Frosted Coffee which is a blend of cold-brewed coffee, the brand’s signature ice cream dessert, banana and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles.
“Every decision we make regarding our menu is extremely intentional,” said Allison Duncan, Director of Menu and Packaging at Chick-fil-A. "Whether we are surprising our guests with new flavors and offerings or taking classic items and bringing them back with a twist, each menu introduction is made after listening to their needs."
