Chance for rain in the Valley is rising

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — It starts out as a few drops of rain here and there this week but ends up as a fairly good shot at scattered rain showers down the road.

Through the weekend the Rio Grande Valley will have a daily shot at a few sea breeze showers but by next week abundant tropical moisture will flow our way and set the stage for better rain.

Weak, disorganized, low pressure will drive moisture toward Deep South Texas, that moisture is fuel for rain development.

The forecast is holding this wetter pattern in place from Tuesday through Thursday of next week.

Rainfall amounts could total anywhere from half an inch to more than an inch and a half with higher amounts in spots.
