CCSO: Man arrested for sexual assault of a child

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Cameron County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man accused of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child.

On Friday, August 9, Cameron County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigators with the assistance of Cameron County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit arrested Richard William Aden, 45, for aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child.

Deputies received a call for service where the reporting party filed a report of her child making an outcry of sexual abuse by Aden.

Investigators set up a forensic interview at the Cameron County Children’s Advocacy Center where the child provided details of the sexual abuse.

Based on the evidence, investigators secured three warrants of arrest for Aden.

The warrants were for aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child.

Aden was transported to the Carrizales Rucker Detention Center where he was booked.
