MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized $1,009,600 worth of cocaine at the Anzalduas and Hidalgo International Bridges.
On Feb. 15, CBP officers at the Anzalduas International Bridge examined a Chevrolet SUV coming in from Mexico. An inspection of the vehicle resulted the discovery of 20 packages of alleged cocaine weighing 46.16 pounds.
A few hours later at the Hidalgo International Bridge, a black Nissan sedan attempting to cross from Mexico was selected for an inspection. After being checked, officers found 12 packages of alleged cocaine weighing 29.45 pounds.
CBP seized the drugs and the vehicles.
