CBP: Man wanted for murder out of Brownsville arrested at bridge

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man wanted for murder and other charges was arrested Monday, authorities say.

On Monday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Gateway International Bridge came across Geovanni Alexis Teran, 31, who was attempting to cross on foot.

Teran was directed to secondary inspection where authorities discovered that he was the  subject of outstanding felony arrest warrants for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon issued by Brownsville Police Department.

Two students detained after potential threat on Grulla Middle School during Spring Break

CBP officer turned Teran over to the Brownsville Police Department for adjudication of the warrant.
